Worship

child is baptizedWorship at St. Luke's is an experiential fusion of ancient and modern texts and music, bringing the faith community into an encounter with God. Join us Sunday mornings at 10:30 am in our new building at 2700 W. Villa Maria in Bryan; we are next-door neighbors with the Oak Meadow subdivision.

Celebrating Together

Communion
We regularly break bread and drink from the cup in gratitude of Christ's sacrifice. When this element is a part of worship, instructions will be given as to how to receive the elements. Communion is open to people of all backgrounds.

Baptism
As a visible sign of God's grace at work in our lives, we baptize infants and adults alike, claiming each as God's child. Baptisms take place within the service at the request of families or individuals who are making a faith committment. On occasion, the congregation will be encouraged to remember their baptism through a special time of recommitment and gratitude for God's grace.

Word and Worship

Sermons
Pastor Jason approaches his sermons with flexibility. Sometimes he breaks the message up in smaller chunks interspersed with a song, prayer and/or video clip. Most sermons last between 20-25 minutes. In case you miss a Sunday, listen to the Sermon Audio Archive.

Music
We all have our preferences when it comes to music—but at St. Luke's it is the scripture alone that inspires the music. Springboarding off of the scriptural focus, the worship team integrates many kinds of music and other elements to develop one cohesive order of worship. On any given Sunday, you may hear a celebration chorus from Africa paired with a modernized Wesleyan hymn, or an ancient chant that moves into a popular song on today's Christian radio!
